I’ve posted up a new (old) Art Clast episode that was recently put together from leftover footage. The episode was filmed two years ago but never aired. So here it is in all its glory. It features three methods for creating a Valentine card, so it couldn’t have aired at a better time.
Yesterday the Art Clast Podcasters were out and around West Dunbartonshire recording a featurette for Blue Peter’s Olympic Torch Tour section. The five girls had a chance to work alongside a proper crew, using television recording equipment in locations such as Loch Lomond, Erskine Bridge, Dumbarton Castle and Unit 23 Skate Park. The 90 second featurette will be shown on Blue Peter on a live recorded show that is going out from Dumbarton on the 9th of June. The five girls should also be in the live studio getting interviewed by Barney and Helen, if the section gets aired.
And if you’re wondering… Yes… They all got a Blue Peter badge.
The Art Clast Podcasters are working with Blue Peter for the next few days. They had a work shop today learning how to use the equipment, including a £5000 video camera. Tomorrow they will be hitting the road and filming around West Dunbartonshire for Blue Peter’s Olympic Torch Tour.
As a little Halloween treat, to get us all into the spirit of things, I have re-edited the original Halloween Special Art Clast episode to be a little speedier and more to the point. Have a watch and get inspired.
The third and final episode of Art Clast for this term (2010-2011) has been uploaded to Youtube and iTunes. You can watch all three episodes and even subscribe if you like them. Below is the animation special, which I feel is by far the best episode yet. Great work from the Art Clast podcasters yet again.

The second episode of the Art Clast Podcast is finally complete. The podcast is actually the report made to take part in the BBC School Reports competition. The Art Clast team created a report on the arguments for and against contemporary art. You’ll agree that they’ve done a fantastic job. Alison B has spent a lot of time editing the images and information together and Louise W and Paul C have been wrecking their heads scripting and discussing points of views for the sections.

A sneak glimpse of some of the work being created for the new Art Clast Podcast. The first episode is a Halloween Special. Below, Alison shows off her cut created for the make up section of the podcast. Photography by Megan R.
